My work is a synthesis of figure and landscape that seeks to encompass the universality of humanity. In my work, land and body are transformed into topographies that are investigated through social and scientific lenses. The social lens relates to the land, mapping and the environment, and the scientific lens relates to the body, cells and technology. The idea of something being at once a microcosm and a macrocosm is significant to me. My goal in the work is to engage these dichotomies, capture moments in time and draw attention to our similarities to and interdependency with nature. Ultimately, these works celebrate the beauty and preciousness of life.
