Visual Vocabulary

In an effort to develop my "Visual Vocabulary", Sharon assigned me 10 drawings due by Friday. During our conversation, she suggested I go back to the work I was doing with photos of myself (getting myself in the work). These are the drawings/ prints I began a few months ago, pre-Ireland, playing with shapes of my body and pattern.
Also, she suggested I think about what might my "safe place" look like, what colors, shapes might be there. I allowed myself to not think too much and just make. Here are the results.

I began playing with water/ watercolor and a watercolor pencil.

The one above is my favorite.  I love the way it feels like a map, an aerial view and has lines of longitude.

By this time,,,,,,,,,started dancing and drawing at the same time...
